One of the PACE deliverables is an “ethical guideline document for artificial cell research.” This document will be informed by the previous PACE workshops on the ethics of artificial cells (see Appendix). The goal of the final PACE ethics workshop is to discuss and reach some rough agreement on the central points to make in this deliverable. The aim is not to draft specific wording for expressing the points (that will happen later). The present document aims to seed the workshop with a list of specific points that could be made in the ethics deliverable. Each paragraph concerns a relatively discrete issue. Concrete recommendations (and questions) about points for the ethics document are listed as bullets.
