The European Center for Living Technology (ECLT) is a new research center in Venice that promotes scientific advancement in the field of living technologies. The Center pursues this goal by carrying out and coordinating research activities, providing training for researchers, and disseminating scientific results. The Center's head office is at the Ca' Foscari University in Venice.
The Center fosters a wide spectrum of activities to promote the study and development of living technology by:
- Coordinating research activities and project work focused on living technology.
- Supporting and organizing teaching activities, and high-level training for the development of living technology professionals.
- Offering consulting and research services to agencies, institutions and firms in the area of living technology.
- Sponsoring scientific meetings, workshops, publications and exhibitions for the development and diffusion of the work carried out by the Center and its partners.
- Welcoming long-term visitors to the Center who collaborate as research fellows.
- Organizing two types of public seminars: technical seminars aimed at the academic community, and informatory seminars aimed at the general public.
